LOL! No, pregnancy is not all that magical. Then again, I hate to burst the bubble that the first few months of motherhood aren't all that either. Like everything, there are bright spots that get to be more frequent as the baby gets older. Hang in there, girl! It is almost over.

Oh this takes me back. I too didn't find pregnancy all that "magical." I wanted to vomit everytime we were in the grocery story and I slept in a chair the last two months of being pregnant beause it was hard to sleep in a bed. You're almost there though. I'm so excited for you!!!!!

I love this post so much. And there is so much that I want to comment on. SO MUCH.

But you know what, most of this disappears when that baby comes. Like that night. Though then there are other things that might be even more terrible (you think your #2 issues are bad now...mine took about 7 months--and Elle is 8--to finally be non-issues). :) You're almost there.

And the lack of sleep? Also think that is to prepare you as well. But Trisha, I promise that when you hold that baby, you won't care. Well, you will and there will still be PLENTY of moments that suck, but they'll always suck for the better...

No morning sickness for me, just every other awful thing possible. Okay, not really. I didn't get the 24-7 carpal tunnel syndrome that my BFF just had for the last month of her pregnancy. Couldn't even boost herself off the couch or out of bed. No, I just had some random hormone-induced rash all over for the last six weeks that itched and burned and fit oh-so-nicely between the stretch marks. It was torture! And that thing about the baby dropping? What's that? My guy sat on my pelvic bone from about month 4. I couldn't walk for most of the pregnancy without pain! I hated pregnancy so much that I never did it again. :) Forget it all, my arse! I'm sure you will though. ;)

Hang in there! One you didn't mention and bothered me the most was not being able to breathe. I could even walk around my house without taking breaks to catch my breath. I felt like I lived on Everest instead of at sea level. Oh and heartburn! Heartburn at night was the worst.

Not that I'm complaining. ;)
